One of the most appropriated pots to prepare stews and vegetables. The diameter of the base is wider than the top, giving a curved shape to the Pota that allows a better arrangement of the food and grater use of heat.
The Pota of Pereruela is unique due to the composition of clays found in the area and because they are made from two different types of clay. It is composed of a heavy, slow-drying red clay which gives the pieces its strength, and a white clay containing quartz, feldspar, and mica that can be seen with the naked eye and gives the pieces its refractive properties.
Recommendation exclusively for the first use (to cook): immerse it in water for 24 hours, let it dry and start using it over low eat to increase slowly.
