100% Iberico acorn-fed bone in shoulder comes from the front legs of the Iberico pig obtaining one of the most valued cuts of it. The shoulder comes from free-range pure Iberico breed pig that roams in liberty across its natural habitat "La Dehesa" (the meadows of Southwest Spain). The Iberico pig feeds naturally on acorns (during acorn season), which give the ham its characteristic taste and some of the unique nutritional properties.
The pure Iberico ham de bellota is probably the best-known Spanish ham in the world due to its high quality. The pure Iberico shoulder ham de bellota Cinco Jotas is one of the main responsible for the excellent reputation of Jabugo.
